VISITORS TO OUR WEBSITE
2.1 We collect and process personal data about you in the following circumstances:

  • 2.1.1 When you complete forms on our website (e.g. name, phone number, email address, and details about your claim).
  • 2.1.2 When you provide information to report a problem, make a complaint, or submit an enquiry — this information is kept on record.
  • 2.1.3 When we collect details about your website visits (such as traffic data, location data, web logs, and other communication data) and the resources you access (see section 2.2.2 on cookies).
  • 2.1.4 Whenever you voluntarily disclose information via our website.

2.2 We also collect:

  • IP address (2.2.1) — for fraud protection, system administration, and aggregate reporting.

2.3 We use your personal data for our legitimate interests to:

  • Provide the information or services you request (e.g. car finance claims assistance).
  • Enable interactive website features (such as submitting claim details or checking claim status).
  • Present content effectively on your device.
  • Handle complaints or enquiries about car finance claims.
  • Contact you for marketing purposes if you’ve opted in (see section 8).
  • Refer your claim to our recommended solicitor firms for legal review, submission to your insurer, and ongoing representation.

WEBSITE LINKS
Our website may link to third-party sites that have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for those sites, so please review their policies when you leave our website.

CUSTOMERS
3.1 Third-party organisations we appoint to handle telephone or online enquiries may collect personal details (e.g. name, contact details, date of birth, vehicle registration, employment details, medical information, and property details) to assess and progress your claim. Solicitors we recommend deduct their fee (inclusive of VAT) from your compensation and may charge a termination fee if you cancel after the statutory cancellation period. Please read their Terms & Conditions for details.

3.2 When you complete our online enquiry forms, we use your contact details to follow up.

3.3 To deliver our services, we may share your data with payment providers, our panel solicitors, and other partners (e.g. insurers) as needed.

3.4 We refer claims to the following insurers and finance providers (examples):

  • Barclays Partner Finance · Black Horse Limited · Close Brothers Motor Finance · Santander Financial Services · and other UK-based insurers and finance providers relevant to your claim.

3.5 With your consent, we may feature your feedback in our marketing materials.

3.6 We retain your data for as long as needed to provide services, and for six years thereafter. If you subscribe to marketing communications, we retain your data as described in section 8.

SUPPLIERS
We collect supplier contact and bank details to manage orders and payments, retaining that data for six years after service delivery.

THIRD PARTIES
Any third-party data collected while serving customers is used solely for claims processing and legal purposes, and retained for six years.

IF YOU FAIL TO PROVIDE PERSONAL DATA
If you choose not to provide data that is required by law or contract, we may be unable to deliver the agreed services. We will notify you if this is the case.

MARKETING
8.1 If you opt in to marketing, we use your data to inform you about services we think you may find helpful.
8.2 We may also share your data within the Find My Agreement group.
8.3 You can opt out at any time by:

  • Clicking “unsubscribe” in any marketing email; or
  • Emailing info@findmyagreement.co.uk with your name and contact details.
    8.4 Marketing data is retained for six years from the date of consent.

MONITORING AND RECORDING
We may monitor and record communications (calls and emails) for quality assurance, training, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes. CCTV may be used for security. Records are retained for six years.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We process your data where permitted by law, most commonly:

  • For the performance of a contract with you.
  • Where necessary for compliance with legal obligations.
  • For our legitimate interests, provided your rights do not override those interests.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
We may disclose your data to:

  • Marketing agencies, survey agencies, staff, affiliated entities, IT providers, professional advisers, HMRC/regulators, and potential purchasers or merger partners — but only where necessary and in line with our legitimate interests.

We implement appropriate physical, technical, and organisational measures to protect your data, and we restrict access to those with a legitimate business need.

ACCESS, UPDATE, DELETION & RESTRICTION
